Paint the Town 2016 (16)
Paint the Town; A Brush with Historic Franklin Village was held on May 21, 2016 Main Street Franklin is partnered with the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center (BBAC) to hold a public arts project/community day in Franklin. The BBAC’s mission to connect people of all ages and abilities with creative experiences and MSF’s goal to show Franklin residents and guests alike that historic Franklin Village is a great place to live, shop, work, and play, combined nicely in this day-long cultural community event. Approximately 5 paint stations were strategically placed throughout the Village Center, complete with an art educator provided by the BBAC. Participants will paint on uniform canvas pieces that were hung, quilt-like, for display onto a temporary frame located on the northern wall of the Market Basket. There were also live music provided by Axis music and sidewalk sales during the day from 1-5pm. -
2015 Main Street Oakland County Accreditation Press Conference (7)
The 2015 Main Street Oakland County Accreditation Ceremony & Press Conference was held at the Franklin Community Church, in Franklin, on June 4, 2015. Village Council President Pro-Tem, Pam Hansen, gave the "Welcome to Franklin" speech, and Deputy County Executive, Matthew Gibb, gave the keynote speech. Franklin was honored to have been accredited as a Select Level Main Street Community. -
Gem of a Night 2015 (10)
MSF & MSFF's Gem of a Night was held on Saturday, September 12th at the home of Mike and Lori Seltzer. An array of silent auction items, donated from many of Franklin's small business owners, music provided by Axis Music Academy, gourmet hors d'oeuvres by Quarton Woodward Catering, and bar service by the Franklin Grill made for an amazing evening. And, of course, the handpicked gemstone from Yanke Designs was fabulous! -
